PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - He wanted to dance and thought it was an emergency.
On February 16, 43-year-old Edgar Dieguez-Lopez did what anyone would do in an emergency. He called 911.
He said he was having a crisis because the Caribe nightclub on Southwest Canyon Road in Portland was not letting him in.
The dispatcher spent several minutes with him, even bringing in a Spanish translator:
He reportedly told the emergency operator he called because "I cannot get inside."
Police responded to his call and arrested the man for Improper Use Of 911 and possession of drugs.
Groomer allegedly glues dog's ear back on
GIG HARBOR, Wash. (AP) - A Gig Harbor woman said she was "freaked out" while giving her dog a bath when its ear floated away.
The woman, Anni Sheriffius, told a Seattle-area TV station she believes a groomer cut off the dog's ear and tried to glue it back on with super glue.
The dog named Jasimin, a shi tzu, was treated for an infection.
Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer said investigators are looking into possible charges of animal cruelty. But the pet grooming shop has shut down.

Residents getting fed up with naked neighbor
NEAR RAINIER, Ore. - A man dubbed the 'Naked Neighbor' because he constantly exposes himself in view of both adults and children is proving frustrating to those who just want him to cover up.
Neighbors have been complaining about the guy for decades.
If you drive past the man's home, which is just four miles south of Rainier and very near the intersection of Brownlee and Neer City Roads, be prepared for what you might see.
"I personally have seen him six or seven times," said a woman we'll call 'Susan.' She did not wish to be shown on camera, but came to KATU News looking for help after lodging numerous complaints about what she was seeing.
"He's naked and he wants to be seen," she said.
The man's name is Jimmy "Mack" McKenzie. He turns 60 next month. Neighbors say he has been strutting his stuff in front of them since he was in his 40s.
"He's standing out there in the summer, the spring, the rain, in the heat," said Susan. "It doesn't matter."
KATU News tried to talk to McKenzie, but he declined. However, we only had to wait outside his home for about 10 minutes to see the so-called 'Naked Neighbor' come out in his red and revealing briefs.
Neighbors say that's how it starts. He struts out in his underwear and then pulls them off. One of his favorite times to go 'full Monty' is in the afternoon, they say, just in time for the Rainier school bus.
The
local postal carrier, Becky Hubbard, said she too has seen him,
numerous times. She first heard about McKenzie after her niece
returned home on the school bus one day.
"I said 'how long has this been going on?' and she said 'well, we've told the driver and everything else. It's been going on forever,'" Hubbard said.
The driver of one school bus told KATU News he saw McKenzie out naked twice, but it was a story he changed after talking to Superintendent R. Michael Carter.
"I'm just telling you that nothing is going on," Carter told KATU News outside the District Office. "No comment."
When we told him that parents told KATU News they had made complaints to the school district, Carter said "We're done. You may leave now. We have not had one complaint. I've told you that four times. You may leave now please."
Hubbard said she complained to the previous school administration as far back as 2000.
"Kids on the school bus have complained," she said. "They told the driver. I even called the school."
"What about the children?" asked Susan. "What about the innocence? Who's getting protected here?"
The Columbia County Sheriff's Department has received complaints about McKenzie, but they say what he is doing is not illegal.
According to the law, McKenzie can walk all the way down his driveway to his mailbox, stark naked if he likes, and it doesn't matter who sees him.

However, if McKenzie does something a little different than just walking, he could get in trouble.
"If
he's walking around trying to arouse himself or others, then that's a
crime," said Lt. Jerry Simmons with the Columbia County Sheriff's
Department.
Oregon's law on public nudity is clear - it is not public indecency unless the person engages in sexual intercourse publicly or attempts arousing sexual desire with their self or another person.
"Just walking around in his birthday suit is not a crime," said Lt. Simmons.
However, some of McKenzie's neighbors say it is much more than a 'birthday parade.'
"When we told them that we had seen this gentleman outside in his driveway masturbating, they said 'we'll send someone out, but we're busy today,'" said Susan.
Nobody wants to acknowledge it," said Hubbard. "Nobody wants to do anything about it."
KATU News has obtained police and court records showing McKenzie was charged with public indecency three times between 1989 and 2004.
According to records at the state appeals court, he also admitted to molesting a toddler and while he was serving probation in 2005, McKenzie was arrested again, this time charged with 50 counts of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse.

Deputies say they searched his home and found boxes and computer hard drives stuffed with child pornography. McKenzie is currently free on bail for the child porn charges. He goes to trial in late September, but that is little consolation to those who live near him.
"This guy was charged with kiddie porn and you're telling me he's not showing an interest in the children on the school bus? Where else are you going to get that big of an audience?" asked Susan.

ALBANY, Ore. (AP) - An Albany father has been arrested on suspicion of using a stun gun on his 18-month-old son.
The boy's mother reported the abuse to Albany police.
Investigators
say the 21-year-old mother brought her son to the Albany Police
Department Saturday. She told police that her husband, 23-year-old Rian
Whittman, had been using a stun-gun device on her son.
Police say they discovered Whitman had used the stun gun many times on the toddler over about a three-week period.
The
child's injuries were treated at Samaritan Albany General Hospital. He
was then taken into protective custody by the Department of Human
Services. The injuries were not described as life-threatening or
serious.
Albany police arrested Whittman on multiple charges, including three counts of assault.
Albany
Police Captain Eric Carter said the device is not a Taser-brand weapon
but the device is designed to be applied directly to the skin.
Alan Dean Storey, left, and Juan M. Lopez-Cordero, were both arrested Friday in connection with the theft of gold teeth from a body in Gresham.
GRESHAM, Ore. - Police on Friday arrested two men whom authorities said videotaped themselves stealing gold teeth from a transient whose body was discovered here last weekend.
The severely decomposed body of Ronald Ferber, 56, was found in a transient camp in the 2900 block of Powell Street on Jan. 28. The medical examiner ruled his death as a suicide, police said.
Later, an informant told police two men had stolen the teeth from Ferber's mouth prior to police learning of the death. The informant identified the pair, police said. Police said the teeth were sold at AAA Precious Metals, a southeast Portland pawn shop.
On Friday, police served a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of Northeast Fifth and arrested Alan Dean Storey, 37. He was taken to the Multnomah County Jail on charges of first-degree abuse of a corpse, second-degree abuse of a corpse and theft.
Later, authorities also arrested Juan M. Lopez-Cordero, 34, in connection with the case.
PORTLAND, Ore. - A Happy Valley woman was charged with assault in connection with the stabbing of her son after an argument over popcorn she'd popped.
Lepa Rajic Leposava, 49, was charged with first-degree assault and was being held in the Clackamas County Jail without bond, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said.
Her son, Marko Rajic Leposava, 21, suffered a puncture wound less than two inches under his eye and numerous cuts to his hand that required 34 stitches, the sheriff's office said.
According to the sheriff's office, the altercation occurred in an apartment they shared at 8640 S.E. Causey Ave., D101, in Happy Valley around noon on Friday.
Investigators believe the mother got upset when her son began eating popcorn that she had just popped. She slapped the popcorn to the floor and demanded he clean it up. When the son refused and went into his bedroom, the woman grabbed a knife from the kitchen and attacked her son, the sheriff's office said.
Police described her as "angry and intoxicated" during the altercation.
The sheriff's office said Lepa Leposava was arrested in 2001 for fourth-degree assault on her son.
REEDSPORT, Ore. - The man arrested for shooting a snorkeler in the Smith River near here on Tuesday told police he believed he was shooting at a large rodent.
William Roderick, 60, of Reedsport, was taken to the Douglas County jail Wednesday night on charges of second-degree assault, felon in possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.Roderick told detectives he was house-sitting a home on Tuesday when he saw what he believed to be a nutria swimming in the river about 2 p.m. Roderick went onto the deck of the house and fired at the object with a .22-caliber rifle, police said.
When Roderick realized he had shot a person, he went to the shore and tried to get help for the snorkeler, 44-year-old John Chessman of Marcola. Chessman, who suffered one gunshot to the head, was listed in serious condition at OHSU in Portland on Wednesday.
Police said Roderick later led investigators to the section of river where he dumped the rifle after the incident. Divers on Wednesday recovered a gun from the river that is believed to be the one used in the shooting.
